Description

DAY 1 Uyuni - Colchani - Incahuasi Island - Pia Pia Island - Ajencha (1A, 1C) 1 stop 1 Train Cemetery Travel on your own to the excursion meeting point at 10:30 a.m. Start your tour with a visit to the Uyuni 'train cemetery' to see Bolivia's first steam locomotives. Next, we will visit the small town of Colchani to tour a salt factory where salt extracted from Uyuni is processed, have lunch, and enjoy some free time to explore the local museum or shop for souvenirs. Uyuni salt flat. Take photos as you wander the vast white expanse of salt and visit a hotel made entirely of salt. We will visit Inca Huasi, where you will have time to hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti and petrified coral rock formations. Enjoy a spectacular sunset over the salt flat before spending the night in the town of Candelaria, in a salt hotel. Note: During the rainy season, between January and April, Fish Island is replaced by possible stargazing activity. DAY 2 Chiguana Desert - Lagoons - Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve - Morning Sun Geyser of the Red Lagoon (1D, 1A, 1C) 1 Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna Start your morning at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast before visiting the Chiguana Desert, located south of the Uyuni Salt Flats. Next, Pasito Tuntun, to the beautiful Andean lagoons inhabited by 3 species of Andean flamingos. You will be able to delight in three lagoons along the way: 'Cañapa', where you can see the first pink flamingos, 'Hedionda', where lunch will be served, and 'Chiarcota', where you can see a wide variety of birds and highland fauna. Next, we will access the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve and visit the Siloli Desert at an altitude of 4550 M. Be sure to take a photo next to the 'rock tree', a lava rock formation. Before reaching your last destination of the day, we will make a stop at the Red Lagoon viewpoint, where you can see more pink flamingos in their natural habitat and admire this intense red lagoon. You will spend the night in a shared family accommodation, 'HAYLLAJARA'. DAY 3 Salvador Dali Desert At 5:00 a.m. you can enjoy an early morning breakfast. Later, you will begin with a visit to the Sol de Mañana geyser at an altitude of 5000 m. You will pass between fumaroles and smoking craters filled with mud boiling at 150-200 Cº. Continue to the open-air springs and take a bath in waters at a temperature of 35ºC. The first place to visit is the Dalí Desert, where Salvador Dalí found inspiration for his works that represent rocks scattered in the middle of the desert, the Green Lagoon, formed by toxic copper waters at the foot of the great Licancabur volcano. Finally, you will head to Uyuni passing through beautiful landscapes along the way and having a picnic lunch along the road. You will pass through the Valley of the Rocks, the settlement of Alota and the village of San Cristóbal. We will return to Uyuni at 6:30 p.m.
