DAY 1 Uyuni - Colchani - Salt Hostel - Incahuasi Island 6 stops 1 Train Cemetery It is a cemetery of trains and locomotives. And it's so big that it seems like every train in South America was moved to Uyuni, Bolivia, to take its last drink. 2 Colchani Just outside the salt flats of the Salar de Uyuni is the picturesque salt processing town of Colchani. 3 Uyuni Salt Flats Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni is considered one of the most extreme and notable sights in all of South America, if not on Earth. It is the largest salt flat in the world, left by prehistoric lakes evaporated long ago. 4 Dakar Monument The Salar de Uyuni, one of the tourist gems of the Andes, for the fifth consecutive year awaits its stage of the Dakar Rally to show the world 5 Incahuasi Island One of the highlights of a tour of the Salar de Uyuni is a hike around the spectacular Incahuasi Island, otherwise known as Inkawasi.
