One of the things not to be missed in the Colchagua Valley is lunch surrounded by the wonderful vines at the heart of Finca de Apalta. All this, with the unparalleled seal of the renowned chef, Francis Mallmann, and an extensive wine list where you can choose among the different vintages of Montes wines and others from the Colchagua Valley.

The cuisine features meat, fish, and vegetables prepared with different types of fire in the specially designed dome located in the center of the restaurant, where visitors can see how the ingredients are grilled, smoked, and baked in preparation for the dishes listed on the menu.

Francis Mallmann's Kitchen
One of Argentina's most famous chefs, major international award-winner, author of the book 'Seven Fires: Grilling the Argentine Way,' and star of one of the best episodes of the Netflix series, 'Chef's Table' Francis Mallmann was chosen as the partner to help fulfill our dream of offering international-level cuisine at Montes Winery. Francis Mallmann’s passion for wood fires gave rise to the gastronomic proposal at Fuegos de Apalta.

And as he says, 'Cooking is a romance.' It's a romance that unfolds while we patiently wait for the flames to cook for just the right amount of time - an art at which Mallmann is an expert.
